Jennings Way Pond

Jennings Way pond is a lovely natural area very close to the local neighbourhood. The main activity here is to keep the undergrowth controlled.

On our last visit the group successfully coppiced and cleared four out of the five willows from around the pond, removed some of the pond weed and reeds, raked out the drainage channel and coppiced a large hazel stool and the far end of the lawn area. The cut brash was piled neatly, awaiting the chipper to arrive from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council later on.
